I was really mad. The first day I took my SG home my daughters helmet was rubbing on top of my saddlebag after I dropped her off at school. Looked like the whole top of the bag was ruined. I tried all that scratch stuff. Nothing worked. I called my salesman and asked him what I could do. He took it over to the custom center where they touch up their bikes. Had a guy take the buffer to it and it came out new. No charge!!!! Hell, if it bothers you that much I'd pay the 20-30 bucks even if they charged you (which they might not) and just do it. It works better than any scratch remover.

The thing about any towel is, they have to be clean or they will scratch. I use cloth diapers. And I never touch a dirty one to any paint.

But they do work well if your scooter happens to be any shade of green or brown.
