They will never learn. They seem to be from the same dna pool that bike week idiots doing burn outs come from. I saw a harley rider launch into a swimming pool. Hmmm, maybe it is thenut holding the h-bars.
When will people learn that it's the rider and not the bike. I know plenty of responsible sport bikers and I've seen plenty of people on every other style of bike that shouldn't be allowed to ride. I rode sport bikes for a number of years and never even came close to having and accident of my own making.
While I'd never paint all sport bike riders with the same brush, I think it would be safe to say that mosthotdog riders (most young, inexperienced, dumb & full of c**...) are more attracted to that style of bike, vice cruisers.
In my years of riding I've never had anyone on a Harley, or metric cruiser coming roaring by me doing a wheelie. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I'm just saying odds are with the sport bike crowd.
Hopefully the dopey bugger will learn his lesson. Sounds like he wasn't badly hurt, but maybe having to throw a few bucks at his bike to get it back on the road may smarten him up a bit.
As with most lessons, they're learned best, when they're learned the hard way.
The 'they' in question was the hot ******* wheelie crowd I was talking about. While 'd rather ride a harley then a sport bike it's their money and this is america. As they say theres good decisions and theres bad decisions.
jbnl.... the pic was shot in corolla north carolina (part of the outer banks)
More bike than brains? JUST like the crotch-ees. MMMM, is this guy one of "they"?
Like many have posted, it's the 'guy' not the bike.
The number one cause of accidents in Sturgis, TOO FAST on curves.Them there crotch rocketeers are even ruining it out there for us.
Someone above said it best: It's the rider, not the bike. I've seen riders like this oneget in trouble riding the canyons at Sturgis many times.
+2....5 riders down last year in Oregon at a rally and the youngest I think was 60.....same stuff...too fast and crossing lanes....and when in a group its like a freakin swarm....all over the place
