No, "we" didn't. It's just like men. It isn't that all, or even most, men beat on, cheat on and generally treat their women like crap, but, rather, that the few that do cover a whole lot of ground. It isn't that all, or even most, bikers that go there ride like idiots. Rather it's morelike a percent or two. One run might ruin the experience for 10-15 people. That idiot might make 3-4 runs hoping to find less traffic the next time. That then gets compounded by word of mouth. Everyone that's been there has heard a horror story starts sounding like everyone that's been there had a horrible experience. It isn't nearly as bad as it sounds, there aren't that many people that are the problem, but there is a problem and it needs to be reigned in.
Just don't get it. Why is this such a magnet. Is it just to say you have been there. I have been down into the Black Forest and it will put Deals Gap to shame. No LEO's or rockets going to the extreme that they lose it. When and if I do get back to the states I think the dragon is one place I will have to pass on. As many have said, there are just too many other forks in the road to take.
From what I have read on this site about the dragon, it just sound like a place for posers and rubs, I guess a bunch of people that just want to say they have been there. Big deal.
WTF is the big deal about the gap. Grow up and be the one to take the other road.
JMTC.
juststay your un American *** out of America...and i'll stay out of your country...if we have to explain it you would not understand.... i live 30 miles from the dragon and love to ride it along with all the other great roads we have in east tn.. now if you calling riding our great roads are for posers and rubs just because we love to ride YOU NEED TO GET A LIFE Poser..
Hey Deuce,
I'll be about 2 weeks behind you, We are leaving on the 5th for a week... Got some great rides mapped out besides the Dragon, Shoot me a msg when you get back on what not to miss... Thanks and enjoy
Well, thanks for the corrections. Maybe one day, you will have the pleasures I have riding in Europe. I think I just heard the classbell ring. Now, get on to your next period.
Like I said. It seems that you all have made a bad name for yourselves at the Dragon.
Then again, it's just being American. Ha!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice comeback Herman, very mature. I havenât been in Europe since 1987, just never felt the need to go back.
I haven't checked into it but i heard yesterday a WRX crashed and caught fire igniting a good size fire that they were having a little trouble containing. Just a FYI
I live here at the Dragon and work up there often. I was up yesterday and the burn ain't no big deal just removed some of the trash. I would not reccomend the Devil's Triangle right now. I haven't been up there in a few months, but the last time I was the road was in bad shape from all the coal buckets, etc...
Its a great time and your going to love it......of course we don't go JUST for The Dragon because there's a ton of other roads to run in that part of the country...Cherohala Skyway...Blue Ridge Parkway...Hellbender...the list is endless out there.
