760 is considered Tier 1 with Harley. You should qualify for the lowest rate, 5.9%. You can't use this a bargaining tool, though. If the dealer says you qualify for that much, then that's what you'll get if you finance through Eaglemark Savings Bank, the bank that is actually HD financing.
Not so black and white. I have better than that for a score and they offered me 9.75%. When I said that was an insult and asked why so high, they said because I was going to put so much down (33%)and only wanted a 48 month term (vs the 84they were pushing), they said we won't make as much, so we'll charge a higher rate.
Went to my credit union for 5.7%... and from what I read here, better customer service.
4.9%- 48 mo.- credit union, -good credit, I decided what I wanted to pay, got a pre approved loan for that amount gave it to the dealer and told him thats all I could pay. he walked out to talk to his boss (yea right) came back and said o.k. (well below msrp)
Decent credit here, but I always shop for the money apart from shopping for the vehicle. Looked at '08 UCs at6 different dealers, bought from the one with the best deal. Same for the money. Shopped for the loan at Harley, 2 banks and 3 credit unions. Got 5.5% from the credit union. Indianapolis dealer was buying down debt to 3.9%, but charging arm and leg for freight and set-up, and lots of labor for the first service. That turned out to NOT be a deal.

I said "should" as in that's what I think would go down. It's black and white. All different kinds of circumstances play a part in those #'s. Your story is one such instance.

Is Harley talking on the 2008's now to increase sales? Or, did you get a left over new 2007 under msrp?
