H-D MoCo "Custom Coverage"
I received a card in the mail from H-D saying I can buy Genuine Accessories, installed, and get extra warranty to run concurrent with 24 month warranty. I guess this is warranty on the accessories and labor(?) Anyone go for this deal or have any more solid info?

Factory approved and dealer installed accessories are already covered under the regular warranty. And they're covered under their own warranty once the bike's warranty runs out (labor not included on that one). I'm curious as to what they're trying to sell you.

I'm curious too. I hoped someone here has already checked it out(my bike is less than a month old), unless this a very new program and I'm one of the first to get the "pitch". I think the coverage is "free" with purchase & installation of (I guess) a minimum $$$ amount.

That isn't true. Any approved (Street Legal) accessory installed prior to taking delivery of a New Harley is covered under the 2 Year Limited Warranty. The Custom Coverage is a program they have had for a couple years now but has noticed that the dealers and customerswere not taking advantage of it so they are promoting it now. The Custom Coverage states that any accessory installed prior to, and 60 days after taking delivery will be covered under the 2 Year Limited Warranty as well. The parts must be installed by a Dealer and registered with the MOCO. These parts will also be warranted under the Extended Service Plan only if the Extended Service is purchased at the time of sale. Any part installed after the 60 days carries the 90 day over the counter warranty. All Parts installed by a Dealerare not covered under the 24 month warranty, unless installed and registered by these guidlines.
