Indy Shop

OK. How do I go about finding good honest Independent Harley shop in my area?I really don't feel like goin from shop to shop looking for a shop I can trust and feel good about if I need any work done. None of my friends ride, and I do not attend any "functions". I just ride alone and do what work I can. I am getting sick of Dealer prices......

Any links on this site?

I'd go to a place where HDriders hang out - there's usually something. I'd just ask around.

If you don't have any contact with other riders, I would ride by a few and see what their shops look like. Are they relatively busy, do they look like they take pride in their shop, do they sell a few basic items and have the right kind of tools.

1 thing I always look at is the shop clean, even if its busy then they have pride

I don't know about your neck of the woods, but the two Indy shops near me are with in$10.00 an hour of the Dealer labor charges.It's a racket......I think the Indys keep an eye on the Dealer pricing and adjust accordingly. These Indysalso do not discount parts, you pay full pop no matter where you go.
