I have 2 powertrip jackets. If you want to save some coin try Newenough.com They have some great closeout prices. The jackets are still full price on other sites and not marked as closeouts.
Been using one for two years now and really enjoy the cooking effect. Also got one for cooler weather that closes up and works well for between 45 and 70.
I recently purchased a jacket from first gear. (link below) always worn leather but it gets so hot in traffic plus not very effective in the rain over the long haul. Very pleased with the new jacket. I did take all the elbow and shoulder pads out, but I did leave the back pad in as it helps remove moisture through the lining of the jacket. Coat is super comfortable and really 100% waterproof. Has some reflective graphics for safety but no huge logos or anything. Still love my leather in cold ( we have a lot of that here in vt) but am liking the new one for the summer. BTW I bought the Jaunt model.
I have the First Gear Mesh Tec 2 , has a removable lightweight liner ( more for rain than anything) works great. I used it last year on a trip to San Diego , through the hottest weather ( 121 in AZ) worked great there also, cooler than just a t-shirt. Soaked a t-shirt at rest stops and kept me cool......
Several on ebay, new and not a bad price, around 80.00.....
I've got a tourmaster mesh and I think it's a great jacket. Can wear it year round no problems. Mine has the removable rain liner and quilted liner for cold weather. I've riden in the heat, cold, and the rain. With the different liners the jacket works great.
Make sure what ever you get has adjustable straps on the arms and waste. It allows you to add undergarments to stay warm but take up the slack when you just wear a t-shirt under. If you can't tighten up the arms and make the jacket fit snug the protection becomes useless.
I just bought this one and love it! I agree that it is almost cooler than just a t-shirt. You can soak your t-shirt under it and it feels like air conditioning... too bad it only lasts 5 minutes till the shirt dries out. http://www.harley-davidson.com/mcm/m...bmLocale=en_US
I also have this HD mesh jacket, it's great for those warm/hot days, only disappointment was i bought the CE armor for the shoulders and the elbows for abit of protection should things go south, the CE armor just flops around because the arms are so full cut,it is basically useless to add in these CE armor panels to this coat, over all I very much like this jacket for the hot days and keeping you cool while blocking the sun,I'd buy it again, but i wouldnt waste my money buying the CE armor inserts.
