I bought a 1" shorter kickstand from Drag Specialties for my wifes lower 04 1200c. Now it is REAL hard to dig the stand out from under the primary with you heel. Anyone know of an extension that will help? I saw the one from Harley ($44.95). Thats more than the kickstand cost. Plus I'm not sure it will work as I have changed to a shorter stand. The catalog says tha extension will not work on a 07 883L. Any idea why?
Did the same 1" under kickstand when I lowered the wife's Dyna. We got the HD extension, but found that it was starting to dig into the outer primary cover when the stand was up. A little creative and careful forming, along with a 1 1/2" long piece of fuel line (slit lengthwise, andLoc-tite gluedover the section closest to the primary) and it works fine.
The extension digging into the primary probably wouldn't have been an issue with the stock length kickstand. Keep it in mind.
I had the same problem with my superglide. I just reach down and grab it with my hand.
Keep in mind this is my wifes bike. I can see it now "Honey just reach down and grab it with your hands" "I'll be right here to help pick up your bike"

Thats kind of what I figured. Thanks for the input guys. Maybe I'll just try and fab one up.
