They're good looking bikes. I really like those front fenders. Way too pricey for me though.

My self, speaking from experience Id have to say the S&S motors were superb. The bike had great quality.
I was lucky to have a local dealer who was also a well known and respected indy however. Cant say
that would be true for other areas.
I just dont like the newer bikes looks under the seat area, nor the new engine jugs and heads.
I had a 2000 Chief.
Always wanted a Harley-Davidson. As it was and is what everyone strives for.
I dont beleive pricing the Indians into a higher price range will save that company at all.
Especially when dealer support may not be supported by that price.

Indian was America's first production motorcycle, 3 years before H-D.
They had a great time before WWII. Post war years however was not so hot.

i hope they do make it this time around, they always made nice looking bike and competition for harley can only be a good thing.

Indian had its day, though not too many of us were around then. The new bikes are beautiful, to be sure, though priced for an uncertain market. And I do not know how they expect the urban rider to tolerate the heat of a 105 enginein spring/summer traffic. And I think that the nikasil is a turn-off. Had they done a better job 10-12 years ago, when the market was perhaps willing, they might be settled in by now. But that failure was dooming and it is still fresh in the mind. I just don't see how they will make it.
