went on my first poker run yesterday went with a few friends that I know from riding. We rode a total of 187 miles and today were both sore. One thing I found isI need better grips other then stock and some sort of bag for the back of the sissy bar. Very long day started out at 10:30am and got home about 7pm. I still perfer to ride either alone or with a couple of people because I found myself wishing I could stop and take a few pics along the way but found myself either 4 or 5th in the pack of sometimes 60-70 bikes. Just didnt think it was ok to stop. Felt like I should keep going.

I am in agreement with you about riding solo or with smaller groups. I have ridden quite a bit with the larger groups and it is really more hassle that it is worth.
You've just listed one of the reasons that I avoid Poker Runs. Too crowded at times and around my area, it seems that at least one beer at every bar you go by is the norm. I never drink when I'm on a ride and don't care to be riding with someone who does. Glad you got that first one under your belt. Ride safe!

Yep that's what I saw also. At the final stop I was in the restroom and this guy next to me says man that tequila really F's me up. I told him maybe you should'nt be drinking when your riding. Then left I left.
