I'm wrapped. It eliminates all the rattling from the heatshields, but if you ride with shorts, like me, your legs get cooked alive.

Wrapping pipes was first used on turbocharged car engine exhaust manifolds (actually, I believe the first use actually was on planes) to conserve the exaust gases energy and get better efficiency from the turbine.
On a bike serves mainly two purposes.
On "industrial" bikes for looks.
On all bikes for keeping away the heat.
if you like the look and want less heat radiating from your exhaust, it's a good way to go.

Not black, but wrapped. I made my exhaust so I wasn't worried about making them less than pretty under the wrap.

If I am out running the bars and get lucky I ALWAYS wrap my pipe.[8D]

Thanks for the info. Now I don't know what to do with the pipes. I'm thinking I'll buy a cheap pair and tape them. What the hell take a chance, Columbus did.

Buy the way. I hope the wrist heals real quick so you can get some riding in.

I wrapped the drag pipes on the shovel, I always the look just to keep it old school, latr!!!!!!!
