front brake cable play
2003 Fatboy with 1 inch of play in the front brake cable and front pads with plenty of wear remaining and fluid levels okay. \\; I make the assumption that it should be like the clutch at about 1/16". \\; Front brakes work fine but this 1 inch play concerns me if I had to stop quickly and what would one or two fingers give me compared to a full grip. \\; I watched the Fix my Hog video but it mentions nothing about this issue.

I don't think there has ever been any play in mine. Maybe the pads or pins are sticking. I would try to clean & service the calipers per the Fix My Hog vid. The brake line is a hydraulic line not an adjustable cable like the clutch.
