this jack is made for use with a table. I know a guy who bought several at once for use in a shop. They only lasted a few months as they wore out. There was not a stabiity problem but they are junk.
I bought this \\;\\\\\\;jack at my local Harbor Freight about a month ago on sale for $59.99...works great.

They are for use with a table. Clamp the front wheel in the table vise and lift the rear wheel off the table with one of those. Same for the front wheel, you just have to tie down the back of the bike.
I've also had the yellow Harbor Frt. jack for about 3 years now and I think it work great and when I got mine it was only $49.00 I think it was well worth the money.
