Other than that, make sure, if you are wearing gloves, they aren't too small. Make sure your arms aren't totally extended. Sometimes if they are, you'll reduce circilation at the shoulders. Iso's with the throttle boss might help.
lets see........... I spent about 9 hrs aday x5 days clearing power lines in a
bucket truck, I use a hydraulic stick saw,and chain saws.
enjoy wood working as a hobby ,tools vibrate
do alot of shooting, maybe the 454 cassul is generating to much pressure in my hands
I ride my bike as much as possible
I'd say I'm "porked" here, everything i do seems to put my hands into some kind of vibration, pressure and repetitive motion, better get that back rest soon so I dont fall off the bike when my hands give out,lol
[sm=funnypostabove.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif] Pat - you kill me man - hehehehe
Anyway - I had CTS in my left wrist. It came from 20 years of playing the piano 6 hours a day. If you have it you will know it. Pins and needles up and down. They put you through a series of tests most of which are a breeze. They do save the best for last though and the details are far to gruesome to discuss here - Once you get that done the surgery is a breeze. The cut your lower hand and wrist using small incisions and cut a path for the nerves - war larrrrrr. They put on a semi-cast and the recovery is 8 days but I swear to you that they left me two fingers out and I played with a band on the 4 day- It's really better to get it done sooner than later if that is your diagnosis - Just my opinions - ask your doctor!
Lighten your grip, try gloves, grips and a throttle rocker - Hope it all works out for you
aint none of yall got CT....YOURE OLD ... i been feelin it for a few years myself....try ridin a chopper...the ISO grips and gloves with gel palm help...caint nothin help with the old tho
I don't think age is the issue, I've had to deal with this numbness for the last 5 or 6 years... both arms go numb starting at the fingertips and eventually all the way to my elbows... reading the paper, eating a bowl of cereal, or any task that keeps my hands up over my shoulders, not to mention sleeping(one of these nights I will probably snap an arm off and not even know it)...
As far as riding, I put some contoured grips with a throttle rocker to relax my grip with the right hand, and drop the left hand quite often to shake it off...[sm=pimp.gif]
Have you ever thought about all the time you spend on the comp, surfing the net? The bike may not be the cause but the reaction. I spend a lot oftime on the comp & since I now have a gel mouse pad & rist pad on the keyboard, I don't wake up w/ numb fingers anymore. I also have this funny looking little thing I squeeze for stress that improves the circulation in my hands.
