When I called USAA \\;a few months ago they told me they didn't insure Motorcycles in-house...and said their motorcycle insurance was handled by Progressive....they then offered to transfer me to a Progressive representative.....
USAA will insure motorcyclist, but it is state specific. \\; If it is available to you, I recommend going with USAA. \\; I believe you also have to have your motorcycle license for a minimum of three years before they will insure you as well... Anyway, if I were you, I would at least look into it. \\; They will hook you up with what is necessary for coverage. \\;
i also have usaa ie. progressive for my bike and usaa for the \\;cars. Had my license for less than a month when i started the policy. \\; I didnt pick up the \\;medical protection since im also covered by tricare but am considering adding it since ive started riding 2 up, cause i never know just who is going to end up ridin home with me.
"If you are involved in an accident the military is going after someones insurance to pay your medical bills, it isn't free"
I was in head-on on my bike with a drunk family in a car. Spent 96 days in the hospital and was in bad enough shape to fail a re-enlistment physical. Believe me, the military doesn't go after anyones insurance, your insurance company may though.

Tricare will go after the insurance company for their cash of the person at fault. I was in an accident in late 04 and Tricare got all my medical reimbursed from the other drivers insurance co.. This included the civilian hospital bills and ambulance ride to UMC.
 \\;
USAA will insure motorcycles but this is a state by state case. The states they don't insure in they have underwriters localy for them.
