Has anyone purchased the rev.limiter upgrade? I just ordered mine but was curious of anyone who has if its all that. For those who have no idea what Im talking about there is an upgrade from power commander that will allow you to rev. up to 6200 rpm. Its $20 if you send it in to them, or you or your mechanic can purchase the kit for $40 and you can do unlimited (my mechanic purchased it but it hasn't come in yet.)
I'll repost after its installed and tested. If your interested in this product go to powercommander.com, its right on there home page.
It's a free upgrade depending on your serial number.
This feature can be enabled on Power Commander III USB units with part #801-511, 802-511, 805-511, 807-511, 810-511, 811-511. To enable units currently in the field it will require a firmware update.
I added the upgrade a couple of weeks ago. I no longer hit the rev limiter which was my primary goal. In passing situations and
those quick accels on offramps, I shift just prior to 6000rpms and it's pulling hard at that point.
