Default Winter Storage?

My new 06 SG will be in cold storage next winter. I most likely will remove the battery and use a battery tender to keep it fresh.

When I re-install the battery will I have to re-program the alarm?

Will I have to use that long drawn out procedure listed in the DIY?

I see that says for 2003 bikes is it the same for the 06's?

Will the ECM need to be reprogramed?

There is a short procedure you use to reset the alarm after battery disconnection. It is in your owners manual and takes a few minutes.

No programming will be lost so you don't have to go thru the complete reprogram/relearn procedure again.

RandyD123 , why dont you just install a battery lead on the battery terminals and hook up the battery tender in the bike? It wuold be much easier that removing the battery.

Takes way more than a few minutes. More like 30 plus according to the info in the DIY section.

This is what I would recommend also.

No, you are looking at the wrong one. The 30 minute one is the password learn and only has to be done once after you install the TSSM.

To reset it after a battery disconnect is just a few flips of the ign switch and the turn signals. Look in your owners manual
