I had a low speed low side crash in my Joe Rocket Phoenix Mesh and I will tell you - those elbow pads get out of the way quick and let your elbow take the abuse. I will say it didn't tear or anything though, you would never know I had went down in that jacket. Unless the arms are really tight they are always going to do that. Even my dirt bike armor does the same thing, because of course, I have crashed on that too.
Oof! That is my greatest fear with this stuff, Higlet. My textile jackets have inner arm snaps or straps to secure the elbow armor and shoulder armor, but mesh seems like it will alwayshave more give.
The phoenix has those nifty straps. Unless you are willing to cut off your arm circulation though, they will never be tight enough once the asphalt grabs that material.
make sure you never lay a mesh jacket across your seat and let the arm fall down on your pipes ... \\; [:@]
