I ordered my saddle bags from them and saved about 150 bucks, got them in 3 days, plus they send you emails with details about your order and shipping.
You should check the back order parts before you order. They don't ship until all parts are ready to ship. I had to wait a month to get a $700 order because the mufflers were on backorder. Now that I know I would have made two orders and paid the little extra in shipping. The tax I saved more then covered shipping anyway. They also give good prices on the shipping. I checked all of the other online HD parts stores and they do the same thing. Charge your card up front and ship when all parts are ready in stock. They all post these rules for ordering so its not like the are trying to cheat you I just didn't read them first. I have ordered from them several times after this order and likes the service. I had to return an order (Ordered the wrong part) and this was very easy and they returned the money promptly.
I'm military living overseas and they are one of the few that ship to APO boxes and give 20% off. I've been ordering from them for years ... they've saved me a ton of cash. I'll continue to order from them when I return to the states.
I ordered both at the same time-dealer and zanotti. Both had to be special ordered. I got the zanotti order before the dealer called me-they never did call, it sat in their backroom for a week until I called them!
Zanotti is good people
Zanottis is my local dealer. About 15 miles from where I live. The guys that run their online parts dept. are great. Very helpful and responsive. I get a 15% discount at the counter because I've bought a few bikes there in the past but when I'm buying parts I will go through their website because those prices are even better. Yes, just like any other dealer they will not have every part in stock but they usually get them in within a few days.
That's crazy that you have to order online from your local dealer. Have you tried to get them to price match with themselves?

I live in Pittsburgh which is roughly 20 miles from Butler, where Zanotti is located. As far as I know, if you're from PA and you order online from Zanotti, they have the obligation of charging you 6% sales tax which makes their 20% discount a 15.2% discount in reality.
Is it how they proceed or do they not charge PA sales tax to a PA resident?
If they do, and you live too far from them to go pick your order, you'll be better off ordering from an out of state vendor such as Harley of Chicago where you will get a real 20% off before shipping. Just my opinion.

Of course there is that pesky sales tax. But it still works out to be cheaper then buying over the counter. I tried Chicago HD once but didnt care for their service or delivery times at all.
As far as getting the same price right over the counter Im not sure why they wont/cant do it. But I do know that internet parts is run by its own department and that when I pick something up from an online order I have to talk to someone other then the regular counter guys.
But the parts guys are very nice all around and easy to deal with.

Yeah, that's what I thought: in both cases, you pay sales tax. That's the pb when buying from a PA vendor. If you get 15% off at the counter and 20% off online with Zanotti, a $100 purchase will cost you $90.10 sales tax included at the counter and $84.80 sales tax included online so you still save a few bucks when you buy online.
You and I are lucky cause we can drive to Butler to pick up the stuff but someone from Philadelphia should get a better deal from an out of state vendor giving 20% off.
Is there a HD dealer in OH not too far from PA giving 20% off, like in Youngstown or Cleveland? If I need to buy expensive stuff like an exhaust or wheels, it might be worth to drive a couple hours. Plus booze is cheaper in OH than in PA so it's even more worth the trip. <g>
