I am so impressed with this bike! It is light, powerful, fast and my center of gravity is right over the motor because of the riding position. The rake is perfect and the bike looks amazing, always getting compliments. It has such a clean look I don't feel like putting a lot of expensive baubles on it.
For a burn around town scoot there is nothing like it ... and it was cheap!
Gee wiz, I do read most of his posts, they are pretty good, BUT I don't know if I would go so far as to say he rules.
Personally, I have never cared for a blacked out motor, but that is this Ol' Fart.
But glad you LOVE it, beings how you gots one.
One more thing, NICE attempt at a 'save' there, Sam.
The Night Train was high on my short list of bikes, but I wanted a Screamin' eagle model like a ****. So I waited until I found either a Fatboy or deuce CVO model. Thats when I scored my 03 CVO Softail. yes Softails are a nice option, and I wouldnt sell my Deuce except for a higher than normal price. I like the CVO models so much that I am still in the market for a SE-Fatboy.
I have since bought a 2008 Streetglide, just because the Softail wasnt cutting it on the long hauls, and I have just about gotten that ride to where I want it both cosmedically and engine wise.....like I said though....almost.
I wouls also like to score a Dyna model if the opertunity presents itself.....just so I can round out my collection. The Sportster is out of the question.....just too small for me at this point.
So....as for what bike rules.....well in my book it would have to be a Bagger(Streetglide, Road king). Only because you can take them out on the road and pile up the miles with ease.....and still set them up to where they are very capable around town / bar hopping bikes. but thats just how I feel about it right at this moment.....by sunrise I could change my mind.....?
I like my train, handles great, low center of gravity and all. But I guess I'm spoiled with my WG. Ride is far better and when I twist the throttle on the Train I feel more vibration in the upper r's. Its a California Custom and I believe its been built a bit as it would smoke my WG even with the Stage 1 kit and the propipe on it. The Train has a real low idle and it almost sounds like it has an aftermarket cam in it. But I would trade the Train for an old Fatboy Ironhead....
Deep rumble, like you're in a tunnell and med-loud or louder (came with two sets of Baffles). Also, true duals as the length/back-pressure are equal. Also, $690 American Classic Motors - EBAY. Call them to get this price though.
