I did just the opposite. I kept my 21" rim and stock fender, but mounted a 3.25 tire in place of the 2.15. The tire is slightly wider than the fender and I like the look. It reminds m of a woman whose ***** are just a tad too large for her bra.

It like a lot of different ideas is Okay,Personally I am too old fashion.Baggers are beautiful without the shield and bags as well as with.Stir in some serious cubic inches and you have a Sleeper!

Gonna deviate on the question in the thread for this one.... Why do you think that? Don't some softails sharing the same frame, dimensions etc. come as standard with a 21" rim up front? Or is it the not the size of the wheel but the actual tyre that you think is the problem?
