It wasn't that long ago that if you wanted a Harley, you got on a year long waiting list, and colors were never guaranteed.

I'll take things as they currently are, thank you.

Seems to be doing pretty well, hell look how many people on this forum spend time trying to predict what HD will do next. I always wonder how much true authority the legacy folks still have in the corp.

Wanna dig back far enuff , one of Willie G's first jobs on a design team , was the first generation Mustang by Ford , then he came back to the MoCo .. He came back to Harley at the right time , his early designs did a lot to carry them thru the last AMF and first stand alone years ..

What many of you are missing is , the traditional end of things .. Harley is steeped in tradition and thats what a lot of us want , as well as the tech advancements ....

I agree the Vrod aint for me ..

They are geniuses. They deliver a product that we like, then offer their own aftermarket parts to customize it to our liking. So, not only do we spend the big bucks for their product, but we continue to spend thousands upgrading for our own personal tastes. I think the CrossBones was genius. That style has been in the custom world since the first WWII HD's were brought home. The only way you could have one was to make one. Now you can have your own with all the factory doo dads too! Sometimes you have to go back to go forward.
