Here we go again...a guy joins the H-D Forum, and within 3 posts ( 2 of them going on about the superiority of his Gold Wing ) has dug up a thread that's been dead for a year, so he can again sing the praises of his Honda...

I own a softail and ride it locally one-up. But when it comes to traveling, we mount up on our Goldwing. I would love to have a new Ultra Classic to travel on, but when it comes to comfort they do not compare. I believe that there are a large number of folks that would rather ride a Harley if it had more comfort features such as , more horse power, water-cooled motor such as the V-Rod has, smooth vibration free such as the B-motor in a Softail..
Guess that large Number may now get that chance to get their Harleys.

Willie doesn't directly sit at a desk and design anymore. His staff does at his direction and he suggests changes and approves the final design. All the past tanks and emblems are on a wall for the designers to get "inspiration" from.

someone here owes me 30 minutes. i could of been doing something constructive with my time, like masturbating while watching classic 70's **** or hell, watching "the hills" with my wife would have been better than this 7 page abomination! i demand reperations-wheres my comeuppance? shappy? did you start this?

Never though about it. Don't really know that much about him, haven't read much about him, never seen or talked to him...
I would think He has to have a love for the company unlike most will ever know and that includes the business end of it..
He is still just a man but was taught the ways of HD.
My job (before retirement) required me to deal with many Upper and Plant managers. Although most are highly educated it was easy to tell between the ones who were looking solely to advance up the ladder (more $$$ for them)and the ones that really cared about the Product, Employees and the Jobs.

Well if you remember Ford that one year when you could get the newer F150 or the Heritage F-150.....
Wish Harley would do something like a bold new Electra Glide, but save the current style and look and make it the Electra Glide Classic.
In my opinion the term "Classic" means old style....Hell the Electra and the classic arent very different, there isnt much classic in it either with them both being so similar.
Same could be said for other models..Give that goofy road glide a new fairing and offer the old style as a classic option.
And Ultra should mean Ultimate, not just some chrome and a seat and 2 more speakers in the back. Who needs the freakin CB? Not I. How about air ride? as in electrically inflated shocks?
Why not a Cadillac 502 while I am at it? Make that Screaming Eagle engine standard on the Ultra !
