Thanks for all the nice comments. This is going to be really nice for us both. The guy he got it from was reluctant to sell, but I guess medical bills had stacked up and so the Glide had to go. I felt sorry for him, but we did get smokin' deal.
me thinks you need to start searching for a knuckle so you two can work on it together.
then you can really share some stories, and don't forget to include your youngin if you have one.
My son and I have built several bikes together, Now I got a 2 month old Grandboy to start trainin.
The bikes I have now that aren't antiques will be when he's ready.

That is so cool! Several of the guys I ride with are mid 60's and 70's There was a gent in a charity ride I went on this past Sat. that was probably in his 80's. He was on a trike!
Have fun with your Dad! Enjoy the ride and both be safe!

That's a great idea. I'm definitely the gear head of the family so 'd be doing the majoring of the wrench turning, but man what fun that would be.
One other thing. That was the first time I had ridden an Electra Glide, and all I can say is woooow. Man that's a smooth ride. I went over some railroad tracks and was waiting for the impact, but it never came. I turned on the radio and was riding with my hat on. I started to get spoiled so I got off it as quickly as I could.
