Ride it. I've ridden them all home as my dealer is 200km away. The one before my current ride I booked it for the first service the following day. Put 800km on it riding around this island, some in the rain, in one day. Had it serviced and rode it another 200km back home, and enjoyed it. Memories like that don't come on a trailer.
Ride the back roads...check your oil, stop have a coffee let the bike cool, ride some more, stop for lunch, ride some more...make a day of getting to know your new ride. Just no revs over 3000 first 50 miles and none over 3500 for the next 450....alternate rpms & speeds and you are golden. Screw the trailer unless it's below 35 degrees or snowing or raining. JMHO
