Let's be real. I love my harley but there not fast. This is my first harley. I came from croch rockets. I had my dyna pined 130mph. Don't get me wrong I love my dyna. But there is nothing like doing 80mph in first gear. I topped my last bike out at 179mph. 2003 Suzuki 750 gsxr. and as far as twistys go there is nothing like dragging knee. But to many accidents. now I just cruise. Besides my dyna can't really handle that speed for to long. Front is raked lowered in the rear ape hangers. Plus 130 is pretty much redline and the stock 1340 don't like it to much. And as far as traffic. running a croch rocket at 100 plus in traffic is nothing. I had to give them up. I would have killed myself. I almost lost my foot in my last accident. Which was in a parking lot (doh!!)
179mph on the speedo, or GPS? an '03 750 definitely won't touch 179 IRL.
Mid Ohio back straight, knee down at 170mph... pure fun..
US14 90mph ... sheer terror... Love the HD but the buffeting will take some getting used too...
My '92 FLHTpolice wouldn't even break 90mph, but after installing hi-compression SE heads and an Andrews 146 degree cam, it easily breaks 100 mph. Of course, i took off all the bars and bags and stuff...
I've done over 110 on my stock 89 Super Glide. Are you sure there wasn't anything wrong with the bike before you did those mods?
