Hand signals...Am I the only nerd that uses them?

Seriously, I use hand signals quite frequently along with the electric ones. Especially if I am riding with someone.
Just seems natural.

Use hand signals for turns sometimes. I still use the following ;pat the top of your head for cop, radar, speed trap;point at road debris when pack riding; slow down signal and last but certainly the greatest hand signal of the all. The great communication signal the bird.

Hand Signals
Use them all the time, read between the lines. If they can't see my turn and stoplights I am already using defensive action. And hand signals, typically just one finger needed. People don't pay attention when they are on their cell phone.

I use em when I'm leadin the group.. Good way to make sure everybody can see the signals.. when they copy I can see it in my mirrors.. we also use signals to point out road hazards such as gravel, roadkill etc..

I always use the turn signals and quite a bit of the time hand signals also. I figure it's worth the effort, if it keeps just one cage from running into you. I also blip my brake light just before stopping and when I am stopped, if someone is coming up behind me.
