I am so jealous! My sis and her hubby and my nephew all live in Fayetteville and ride the Pig Trail often. Slacker 8 and I are not experienced enough to ride the 6 hours there and ride the Pig Trail with them yet. You need to check out Pig Trail Harley in Rogers while you are there. They are a great group of people.
I stopped in there last year. Very nice dealership.
Gotta clean up the aftermath of Fay on Saturday while Wifey sleeps off her twelve hour shift, Sunday ride to Melbourne to see the Space center and dinner at Dixie Crossroads. Monday just might choose a direction and go!
I wish I could meet you at Dixie Crossroads, man I like that place. Have some rock shrimp for me!!!
we'll be riding on to Eureka Springs via the Pig Trail and spending three nights there at a B&B. So, where are y'all riding for the holiday?
Coincidentally, a friend and I are riding from DFW through Paris, Talehena, and Fort Smith up to Eureka Springs on Friday, then we're staying for 3 nights up there at one of the Best Western's. Our wives and his daughter are going to head up in a car to meet us there.
I'm still not sure where I'll ride around up there. I definately want to hit the Pig Trail one day. I think my friend and his wife are going to go out riding one day while my wife babysits their daughter, so I might head over to Rogers that day just to check it out.
My Labor Day plans don't involve the bike. I will say that if any of you like rare old cars and are in the vicinity of 9th & Main in Auburn Indiana this Friday or Saturday night, look for the tan & brown '32 Auburn with Ohio plates. I may reward you with a beer.
I will probably ride from St. Louis, MO down to the Tablerock Lake area, Green Forest, AR I believe. Got something of a family gathering going on. I haven't been down there in over 10 years.
Going to leave Alamogordo Saturday morning and head to Amarillo for dinner at the Big Texan, spend the night and then head back home Sunday. It will be a nice weekend ride!
Going to gather some of the extremely slow riders in my area and take a painful ride to some crappy breakfast joint just to return home the same route. On the plus side.... I'll be ridin' and no one will be able to talk my freakin ear off!

Engraved Rebellion: Inside Bundnerbike's Glam Rock II
Bought a new fly rod & reel today. Will break them in fishing Beartooth Lake atop the Pass, Rock Creek in Red Lodge, The Clark's Fork outside of Cooke City and wherever else there's flowing water I can jam on the brakes and go fish.
And then the next day...
My long term plans over the winter are to start a motorcycle club dedicated to fishing and riding. All types of bikes and all types of fishing (not sure yet on the ice fishing, but will talk to Gumby about it) will make up the club.
Not kidding on the MC club. PM me if you're interested so I can get a roster going. Worst case, I'm the only member and I'll have a great time anyway.
Will be posting the club idea soon.
