Well Ive kinda gotten an idea and maybe one of you can help with some info. The ding in my tank is SOOOOO not noticable Im wondering how much a tank costs. I was considering trying to bargain with them if a tank costs more than a set of hard saddle bags
Simply put, how much do a Road King fuel tank cost?

Doubt that they will be receptive as they are probably gonna do a warranty claim on the tank for a leak or something......

Actualy I was just taking her to meet one of her friends right around the corner. She asked for a lift and I told her I would give her one but only on the bike because I wanted to ride. That doesnt mean she isnt tough though, she is!

I don't know that I would try to do this...if I did, I think it would be more along the lines of, "Hey, I'm not too worried about the ding in the tank, what kind of deal would you cut me on the bags if I said not to worry about the tank." If they are into it, they'll help you. If you don't like the deal they offer, just take the new tank.

The bags are WAAAAAY more than the tank. So much more no way can I pay the diference. As of now Im gonna ask if the tank order can be canceled and if they would give me a store credit for the cost of the tank. The ding is SOOO not noticable. They said the cost of the tank is 770$ but Im betting that is retail so maybe we can meet in the middle between retail and cost for the credit. I could do some serious damage with about 500 bucks in credit
