Just a dumb question from a prospective 1st time Harley buyer. I love the look of the springer front end, but over half the springers I look up on computer sites have what looks like wide glide forks. Whats the deal?
Can you post a picture of what your are considering as a wide glide front end that thay say is a springer. For me it;s always pretty much cut and dried, a spriger is a springer and a wideglide is a wide glide. Really no mistaking the two unless your're confused?? Give us an example.......Jim.......... ( This is a Springer fork below )
As an example, if you go to "cycle trader", enter 2002, type in Springer, and the the first up is a silver bike that looks like a wide glide. There are numerous bikes shown there that look like wide glides.

RE: Springer?
I'm also confused. My first two bikes were Springers. Love the look. If you are talking about the width between the forks, yes it is wide. Adds to the look. First one didn't have a front fender, second one had just enough fender to keep water out of my face. Don't let anyone tell you Springers "steer hard" they steer differently. Good Luck
I have an 05 Springer and I don't understand the wide glide thing. To me, a springer is a springer and a wide glide is a wide glide. Am I missing something here? I have seen a wide glide and my springer isn't as wide as it is.
