I think they were both in some pain for a while. Her left hand and left foot took some abuse and his left leg too. From the position of her right hand she may have had the opportunity to use him as a cushion. Let's hope she did. Probably took off the left saddle bag too. I wonder how much eye contact the riders had with the photographer before he lost it? When I was coming down I had set up for the curve and saw the photographer. For an instant I looked at him and realized I needed to be looking at the road not him.

Feet must be nice and toasty in those flip flops too when she slides the tootsies up toward those rear headers on that FLHRS

There are 2 different sets of photographers at the Dragon... Killboy (the best) and ZeeFoto
http://www.zeefoto.com/
As with Killboy, you can search by date, and bike type....Not a bad way to make money. but the DO spend serious money on photo equipment (these ain't instapmatic snapshots) and imaging spending all day EVERY day watching others have fun

The photo series starts here

It looks like they went down, got back on the bike and rode off.

i agree killboy is good (most popular), but imho here are the best photographers http://www.us129photos.com/

these guys don't take as many pics, but if you compare between all of them you will see the difference.

additionally here is another photographer that is around

Default Learning the hard way

I snicker when riders poke fun at fingerless gloves, or any gloves for that matter. I am not laughing about the gloves but at them. Bet the lady in the picture won't ever make light of anyone's gloves--even if they are wearing kitchen mitts.

A high percentage of my buddies from the flatlands have gone down while riding the Blue Ridge. Big twins are especially vulnerable. Thinking back, there have been four who have been on the ride in the last couple of years. Results: one RK totalled--will never ride again, one big Suzuki cruiser down--caught a peg--moderate damage fixed and limped home, one RK returned fine--commented "I was on the wrong bike", and one Vulcan 750--exceptional skills no problems. Treat the mountain with respect.
