Born2Glide,

I mistyped and choose the wrong words when I said settling.

What I would like to say is that I have a favorite in each series. A Road King (Touring), Fat Boy (Soft Tail), Street or Fat Bob (Dyna). But the Fat Boy is the one that I keep saying to myself, "I really like this."

In the meantime, I'm going to be patient and take the time to ride a few to make sure I'm picking the right bike.

And Captain,

The Keeley Compressor is well worth the money. Do yourself a favor and buy one. You won't regret it.

I had a heck of a time deciding as well. I liked the Fatty also, but the Dyna line with forwards fit the bill just right. I ended up finding a clean 2005 Super Glide Custom for $9000, and fell in love. People kept telling me on here that only I can know for sure which one's right, and they were right. Now I'm slowly trying to get it set up properly. I need bags in the worst way, but I'm floored by how expensive they can be!

Default Lots of great advice here,

but the most important piece of all, make sure whichever of these bikes fits your *** is painted black and chrome. All else is secondary.

If it's not black and chrome, a quick trip to Lowes can fix half that problem right?
