In my Marine Corps days, the stickers had to go on the left fork. No ifs, ands or buts.

I just got out of the Army recently. I was an M.P. so I spent a little time on the gates(Ft. Stewart)....sticker on the left fork was the norm...although to my knowledge there was no "set in stone" area on a bike that it had to be on. As long as it is somewhere easily found by the guard you should be fine.

I attached mine to the down tube on a piece of aluminum I cut out.

Mine is mounted on a 3 1/3" x 4" tag plate. Currently it is bolted in the forward engine mount. Sticks out towards the front. I had it mounted on the left forward peg until I install Kuryiakin forward controls.

Damn I'm glad we don't have state inspections in Florida any more! [:'(]
