hmm well JB, I bought a copy of the original (on parchment paper) 1972 patent of the Superglide off eBay. Thought it might look cool in the shop. I payed and two days later I had it! It was an original (on parchment paper) 1990 patent of the Fatboy! I wrote this guy and said thanks for the fast shipment, but you made a mistake, I wanted a Superglide patent and this one is of a Fatboy. He responds, I have sold 50 of these and you are the first to say it's the wrong patent. Hard to believe that, he says he's looking into it, but I'm pretty sure I'm stuck with a fatboy patent.
Did you find that in the collectibles section or the art section?
Just my opinion, and not to be negative, but I would prefer to spend $ on chrome or other accessories for my bike. I wouldn't spend much on art. I would spend a few bucks for a cool pic to hang in the shop but not a lot.
We have banners(flags) hanging on the the walls in every room of our house. As well as some other art - Harley Engine sketches/prints etc.
Bachelor pads need something on the walls right?
That's kinda what I was thinking when this all started. I figured if it was good enough and priced right he'd be able to sell a few. So far the poll is 50/50, which is pretty positive from a marketing perspective. Thanks for the input.
By the time I am finished with three bikes, parts, maintenance and etc....coins are low! Hehe! Nope if the OL picks something out for the walls I know it wouldn't be bike art! If you have any you would like to donate I will find a spot in the garage for it..
That's some really nice work. I think the guy I'm talking to produces work of similar quality, which is why I suggested he test the waters a bit. Thanks for sharing the link.
