Default Back Rest Riders? How many?

How many of you are like me, If I did not have a backrest I could not ride across town (lower back issues). With one I can ride across the country.

My backrest is one of the best things I have added to my bike! Makes riding so much more comfortable and I think it makes my handling of the bike better.

Don't have one but thinking about it after the last ride from FL to PA. My brother swears by his and he has had lower back pain for ten years or so!

I have one, and like to use it for long rides. When going across town, I just leave it in the saddlebag. If I'm going more than 40 miles and don't have my wife on the back (a far more comfortable backrest), I attach it.

you know, maybe that's what I need? I tend to slouch in my seat, it's what makes all of them uncomfortable as hell..

Yeah, I got one a few months ago. I'm still trying to get it really comfortable. But it's always on the bike unless my wife is behind me. It DID take some getting used to, but I'm more comfortable with it than without it. It keeps me more upright, so I don't get tired as quickly.

I use a rolled up sleeping bag. That works on my lower back quite well. Gonna get one of them backrests someday.

Default Back Rests are Great!

My lower two vertebrae are fused and without the backrest, I couldn't last 50 miles without discomfort. I bought the Ultra in large part because of the seat and backrest combination.

Just about to go for my 10,000 mile checkup and have not problems with the back
