Does anyone have any first hand experience with the Kraus Motor Co. Twist-Brake or Twist-Clutch? I'm thinking about bolting them on but no one around here has one and I want to know pro's and con's of their operation from someone that has actually used it. Thanks. Mike
I have no experience with either, but I would be careful concerning using them, although the idea seems appealing...dunno...how's the decel work without hitting the brakes? do you have to let go of throttle for non brake decel? or is it twist past idle to get the brakes to work...that is a lot of extra motion, plus might require repositioning the hand on the throttle. Also how is the feeling, change in style, plus what are the dangers when you hit a bump of so and your hand/arm moves?
Same thoughts on the clutch though this is a lot easier than the brake/throttle. might you sudddenly pull the clutch (twist) with bumps or acceleration?
as i said I have no experience with them...just throwing out my thoughts and worries I would think about.
Mordrapheus, I don't think anyone's going to answer and I don't have the 2K to try them out. They are pretty new so I guess I'll just have to wait. I'm sure eventually someone will show up with a set. But you're right; they do look sweet.
