Yeah, pay attention and read the pump. Don't put it in your bike, or you'll go about 100 yards, park, and spend the next hour draining it. Did it at vegas bike week this weekend. Really pissed me off I wasnt paying attention.

Not quite sure what blend you were getting there or if it was just bad gas, but Ive been using ethanol in both my Harleys for the last 5 years and have had zero problems like you described. Sounds like really bad gas to me.

I wasn't happy when it seemed like all the stations switched to the 10% blend a year or so ago. Haven't had any problems with the stuff so far. I can't tell any difference in performance or gas mileage.

I was wondering the same thing.
Don't confuse the newer E85 with the much more common 10% blend. The owners manual states that you can use ethanol blend up to 10%.
But your bike was not designed to run on the E85 (85% Ethanol).

it was E85. I can tell the difference between the green pump, and the blue pump. Even on the way home from the bar. I went back and took a look after I drained it and it was the 85% sh*t.

That Sucks!

I use the 10% from time to time. never noticed any issue's.

85% ,I'd think that would have a definate affect on jetting/mapping.
