Default PC III USB 2009: when? -- got answer from Dyno Techie

<< Got an answer from DynoJet research technician >>

I know I posted this question else where already, in the correct forum, but I thought if I put it here as well more people will see it and there might be a chance that someone might be able to answer the question

Anyone know whether and when the Power Commander III USB version 2009 might be coming out? Is there supposed to be one? I heard a rumor of there will be and that it is supposed to be smaller than the existing one, but i have not been able to find any info thereof and anything on a possible launch date.

I am looking at buying one for my brand new 2009 Heritage softail classic, and am trying to decide whether to wait for the PC III USB 2009 or just buy the existing one.

anyone know anything? hear anything? any thoughts?

Thanks

I had also sent an email to PC peeps earlier today and this is what I got for an answer:

"Our current PCIII USB will not even work on the 09 Touring model but the Softail may. We are working on releasing the new PCV. We are hoping to be shipping Harley units in a few weeks.

well lets hope that they come out with something soon

I talked to them yesterday and they said the touring models will be out in 3 to 5 weeks. All others will work now.

Yeah... I just got off of the phone with a guy from Fuel Moto... ordered one of their air-cleaner kits and a PCIII. Told him I have a '09 Street Bob and that I was concerned about the PCIII working with an '09 model. He says the PCIIIs they have in stock right now will work on '09 models. I also told him I have a set of Bub Jug Huggers on order and he said he'd load up a map on the PCIII for those pipes and the air cleaner kit I ordered from him. SWEEEEET!!!
