Another Flat Tire
A couple months ago I ran over a nail and had a flt rear. Luckly it went flat sitting in the garage. Today my two sons and I along with our signifacant others, went riding. We had been traveling 45-60 most of the day. On the way home we turned onto a side road and I felt a little wobble. I let off the throttle and pulled to the side. The dadgum rear tire was flat as a flitter. Two flat rears in less than one thousand miles. What a bummer. I know people who have ridden alot of years and never had a flat. My youngest son ran home and got the trailer. We sat on the side of the road for 45 minutes. Alot of car up and down this road. Not one even had the courtesy to stop!!! What is this world coming to? I just glad we are safe and it was close to home.

Down here in Florida, Flats have been a nightmare with all the roofing repairs from the 3 hurricanes that hit my area in the past 2.5 years. Nails EVERYWHERE. I cruise my neighborhood on my bicycle and pick up a dozen every few days or so just to clear the path for my wifes car and I. We've had several flats on our cars and I just got a flat on my Dyna repaired last Saturday.

Know exactly what you mean. I picked up a large nail today and flattened my tire while the wife and I were riding. I've got the wheel off and will get it fixed today.

Hopefully the bad luck streak is broken for you...
I've got a Heritage with the spoke rims/inner tubes and don't have the option for a quick roadside fix. No problems yet, other than my rear tire is nearing replacement time. It has 9,700 miles on it with about 25% being 2-up riding.

Well, you should be statistically "pre-disastered" by now. The odds of having a 3rd flat rear tire have to be thousands even tens of thousands maybe even millions to one. So, ride on with confidence. You are safe now. Happy motoring!!
