Nope it's been my motto ever since I was a kid. A standard to live by and for. That's all.

A friend of mine died kinda that way a few years ago. Come to find out he had a heart attack, and wad dead BEFORE the bike hit the ground. At least that is what the officials finally said.

Haha, Superman rules.

Maybe the other guy was the cause of the wreck, so he bolted. Not excusing it by any means. He should have stayed regardless.

On a different note, the rider was 65, chances are nature caught him. Possible heart attack or stroke? Could have been unconscious or unresponsive before he even crashed.

Default JBaker Please Call

Hello,

Troy's death is so sad. May he RIP.

I am a jounalist in the Gold Hill/Rogue River area and would like JBaker to call me as soon as possible. I heard from Evans Valley Fire Chief Bill Fuller, a fellow HD rider, that Troy participated in an event held recently at Rhino's - were you there? I could use your help.

Here's the latest release from Oregon State Police - they have located and talked to the other driver.

October 28, 2008
A Gold Hill man died when he drove his motorcycle off Tresham Road and into a ditch near Highway 234 Saturday evening.
Troy M. Jackson, 65, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, Oregon State Police Sgt. Mark Byrd said in a news release.
An investigation into the crash continues. Police have talked to another rider who was traveling with Jackson, interviewed other witnesses and had a reconstructionist examine details at the site, Byrd said.
Jackson, who was wearing a helmet, was driving his 1996 Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on Tresham at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday when the bike left that road, traveled through a ditch, crossed onto Highway 234 near milepost 9 and came to a rest in another ditch. He was thrown from the motorcycle.
Initial reports indicated a second motorcycle had left the scene before its rider talked with officers, but investigators now have found and talked with that person, Byrd said. They are still working out exactly what caused Jackson to lose control and veer off the road. A report likely won't be complete for a week or more, Byrd said.

Please call me as soon as possible - Patricia @541/582-2740. Thanks.
