Default Does your desire to ride ever decrease?

My husband and I have been riding since 2001. We started on his Heritage with me riding on back. We love it and it gives us some of the best times we've had in our 27 years of marriage.

I got my own a while back with a big desire to ride my own and I have done so. However, there are times when I just want to hop on back and ride with him instead of riding my own. Then there's times I have a big desire to just ride my own and it gives me the greatest sense of individuality.

I don't know why I go from feeling one way, to feeling another. I always want to ride....just not always my own.

I must be wishy washy.

Do you always want to ride?

yeah!! sometimes I like to ride alone sometimes with someone on the back.
you are not alone.(get it... lol)
hey just think some times you like to ride your bike, sometimes you like to ride your man,
wait that did not come out right.

hey nothin wrong with it you got the best of both worlds.

when you want to snugle up and go dueo you can . and when you want to go it alone you can it sounds perfect.

Nope! Been riding since I was 15 yrs old, except for a few years a house was more important .... was bit hard by the bug to ride back then. I turned 55 this past July and still have that same bug bitin my a$$....have to get out and go. Its nice now with my son riding with me and one day it maybe with the grandson too. I guess I have to say again nope....the desire always seems to be there but some days stronger than others!

HD makes this pill called V-twinagra...keeps your desire up.

They only tell the male riders though.

My wife took the class and got her license. We bought her a bike, but she never really got into riding on her own, but she's ready to ride anytime on the back of my bike. Now as for me, I can't get enough. I've been going nuts since August 4th when I had back surgery and I'm not supposed to ride until I see the doctor in two weeks. I do have to admit that I took the bike out last weekend just for a short ride. I had to do it. I just couldn't stand it any more.

Rhonda, I haven't been able to ride for 15 months now and I still go out every couple of days and find some work to do on the bike.....if I can't ride I need to at least be working on it. 32 years I've been riding and I can't ever see myself not wanting to. Someday years from now, I'll have my Harley Depends on and my cane strapped to the seat (and my Viagra & heart pills in my vest pocket, can't forget those).....but I'll still feel like riding

When I get really drunk I start losing the desire to ride, but that's mainly because I can't hold the bike up.

It really is a great privilege to be able to ride when you have lived the life style, so many memories and smells come to mind all the time. I have been riding for 38 yrs and plan on riding at least that many more.
I have really enjoyed looking at those video posts people have made as they ride, nothing but scenery ( somebody else's) and their tunes. I really enjoy seeing that and can relate and it makes my day.

I also can say the caliber of motorcycles have so drastically improved, that I really can't wait for the next model year to come out to see if there is something I would like to get.

It is FUN

yep....that's a pretty good rule of thumb of when to get a cab - if you can't hold it up standing still, it gets worse when it's moving. Plus you look really stupid when you get to a red light and it falls over

I must be wishy washy.
Do you eat the same thing at each meal every day?
Do you wear the same clothes every day?
When you desire to listen to music, do you just listen to the same song each time?

Does that make you wishy washy?

Why should you not be in the mood for different things when riding?

Sometimes I want to ride fast - maybe a blast down an interstate.
Sometimes I want to cruise at 40-50 mph down a nice, quiet, winding country lane.
Some times I want to ride alone.
Some times I want to ride with other people - someone else in the lead, and me just mindlessly following, not knowing or caring where we are going, which way we are going.
Some times I want to ride with other people, me leading, them mindlessly following.
Some times I want my wife on the back.
Some times I don't want my wife on the back.

Different rides for different moods and different situations.
