Hehe, speaking of wallets, etc... mine was gone. The CHP was able to find it and gather up my ID, etc while they were out in the lanes examining the scene. In the future I'll be putting my wallet in the zipper pocket of my jacket I think

A friend of mine that used to race motorcycles convinced me to always wear protective gear. I wear leather jacket, Gusset kevlar lined jeans, boots, gloves almost all the time. Ocassionally when it's extremely hot, I'll skip the jacket but never when riding in heavy traffic or on the freeway.

I would find that compact very embarrassing and hard to explain---You know you have just given me an evil thought. The next time one of my friends goes down and tells me about it I am going to have to ask him about the rumor of the ground down compact found near the wreck site.

Better perhaps than my bare, road-rashed *** should I go down in just my regular jeans and chaps. But I suspect it and the cell phone would be torn off in the slide much like Arizona's wallet.

Wow! Definately makes me rethink protective gear. Thank God you're ok. RIP faithful EG.

Unless you have your eyes glued to your mirrors 100% of the time, there's no way you'd know he was coming. Maybe you looked in the mirror and the guy was a mile back. He's hauling ***, so, even if you look in the mirror again a couple of seconds later, he's already right on top of you. Even if you do everything you can and do everything right, you just can't catch everything.
