The best ride ever in the history of the universe was
the 190 mile in 36 degree weather from North of San Antonio to Corpus Christi the day I picked up my first Harley.
Other then that I am still working on it, and will have many posts about many great rides in the future but somehow I think none of them will equal that one LOL
Many are picking roads from their neighborhood or region. That's OK. But after riding most places in the U.S. and many countries (I've Been Everywhere Rid Vid), I'm gonna go with what several have noted in this thread, and also called out as best in the world in a rider's magazine or two... Utah 12, 24, and 96 through the stacked National Parks and Monuments of Bryce, Red Canyon, Escalante Staircase, Capitol Reef, and Glen Canyon. Nothing like it, even in the world.
I had the opportunity to go on a bike trip (on a rental) from Germany into Austria, Switzerland and Italy last May...fortunately it was a business trip to Germany and I had a couple of tour guides (from one of our company suppliers) from Germany. They took me primarily on secondary highways and mountain passes...never got used to going from 20+ deg. to about 0 deg. with snow on both sides of the road at over 9000 ft. I've ridden Deal's Gap and Blue Ridge and I can honestly say that riding in Europe was by far the best riding I've ever done, not to mention that the sentry was amazing. We did ride part of the Autoban on the way back .got the ZX1400 up to around 295KM!!!
