Yes, please. You would really be surprised how many soldiers don't have family or close friends to support them during their (sometimes) long recoveries. Even if they do have family and friends, they always appreciate getting a card with a small note of thanks.

In Plymouth UK. we have lowlife scum stealing plaques off war memorials.
