Temp. went up from about 25 to 55 last night with a lot of rain and the garage got all steamy. Now my bike has a coating of moisture on it. Should I dry it off or just let it dry on it's own (it's a little dirty...not big on the idea of wiping it down like that). Tonight it's supposed to drop back down into the low 30's.
Think of a cool glass of your favorite beverage on a hot summer day, it starts sweating and thats what your bike did. Wash it at next opportunity and a good coating of wax on it. If the gas tank isn't full get it filled, the air in the tank will also condense the moisture in the tank. It's one of those mother nature things, I probably see the same this weekend when it warms to the mid 40's.

Wasn't sure if it was a good idea to try to wash it in 30* temps. This is my first bike and I'm learning all this stuff. Okay to wash it in the cold??
Do not wash it when it below freezing. The water will freeze on the bike and that is a big mess. As long as it above freezing and you can handle it the wash the bike.
Dry it off and next time steal one of the old ladys sheets and cover it up ,the condensation won't be so bad.
Same thing happens here in Chicago. A sheet works well. When you see it wet like that put a fan on it and it should dry pretty fast. Leave the cover off til it is good and dry. Temp changes are a bitch and drive me nuts.
