Default Dealer closing?

What would you think if your local dealer is suddenly offering up to 85% off stuff in the store, not taking any checks and saying there is a no returns policy? Bikes on the floor are not marked down ( and there are darn few 09 models) but almost everything else is and the %'s off keep going up - several days ago stuff was marked 15-25% off. Got some great deals on Christmas presents though . I had heard months ago they were trying to sell the dealership with no luck thus far. Oh well, we have at least 5 other dealers within a 50 mile radius of home.

I'd think it was time to pull out my amex card and shop till I dropped! Yeah I would think they are closing down.

If they are that far gone they won't discount the bikes. They are floor planned and the company will just pick them up and take them to a dealership that needs them.

I'd think they're probably not going to be open much longer?

Your last line tells the story.
There is just not enough "market" out there these days to support that many dealers within such a short radius.

I'd think the economy sux, and that they are jus' feelin' the effects.
BUT, I've gotten divorced, so I was wrong once before.
