Rhonda, why did you get rid of her? My bike looks like a crumpled beer can that has been drug through the gravel and acts like it is bipolar (kind of like my wife), but I won't get rid of her (the bike, though I probably won't get rid of the wife either). Your bike looks fantastic.

I've owned over 25 different bikes and have never been sentimental about losing one. I suppose it's because I'm too excited about the getting the next one.

Had a twinge of regret trading in my 2002 Heritage on my 2009 Street Glide.

Really had a tough time giving up on the 2007 EG Classic I crashed. It was real purty. Fire Red Pearl/Black Pearl.

But the worst was selling my 1946 Indian Chief after my second back surgery. *Sniff*

Yep, just went thru it on trading the King for Ultra. After today's long ride I am going to be fine with the Ultra. ONE SMOOTH RIDE.

Anyone ever get sentimental when you sell a bike. Or...oh...I'm sorry, most of you are guys.....delete the word sentimental..... did you ever just have that twinge in your gut that says you're gonna miss it?

A bike is more than a car is. You ride it like a horse. It is your horse. How can you not develop a feeling for it?

I felt really bad when I sold my 2000 Sporty. It was my first Harley, & I was forced to sell it due to medical bills that had to be paid. I really thought I'd never be able to afford another Harley. It was black & chrome & fast as hell, as it had the Buell 1200 upgrade and was pushing 90HP. I felt like a young buck again when I rode it. I did get the privilege of one last ride on it when I had to deliver it to the guy that bought it. Kind brought a tear to my eye. Now I have my Fatboy & all is good again. It's actually a better bike for me anyway, as I am not a young buck any more & I'd have more than likely killed myself on that Sporty in time.

I regret selling my 84 Honda Magna until I ran into one this past summer - now I don't miss it so much. I will keep the two bikes in my garage - My VTX 1300 took me on a 6,000 mile trip to Sturgis in 2006 and again in 2007. Tons of people there commented on how nice this bike is. My new Electra Glide took me this past summer and it will be my "long range" cruiser from now on :-)
