Parts and/or service. With the amount of money I've spent on my bike and servicing (we wouldn't want to void that warranty now would we), I expect some form of customer service. But all I seem to get from the dealer (when enquiring about warranty work, etc.) is lip service and lies. Would I buy gloves, jacket, helmut at the dealer? - Hell no! Wayyyy too much of a mark-up. The dealers who treat their customers like real people (beyond the intial sale) will likely weather this economic storm; those who don't, and go belly-up due to lack of business - good riddance!
You know I have a bunch of chrome on my bike and keeping it clean has become such a pain for me. I was looking at the Night Train. Not much work there to keep it clean.
When you buy a new bike, the dealer should offer a discount on any upgrades you want at that time. And I talking like at least 20%.
My local dealer in Oregon offers me 10% off anything (except a new bike) since I bought a bike from them. And that's forever, not just a year.
This dealer also offer 10% off anything (except for new bikes) to local HOG members.
The dealer here in Vegas didn't offer chit when I bought the bike, I even asked about stage 1, they said no discounts. So I'll wait till I get my bike back to my Oregon dealer so I can save 10% AND save sales tax. That's going to be a savings of 17.75% over what the LV dealer would charge me.
