I live in Punta Gorda,FL, which is 100 miles south of the Tampa Bay area. One of the best sources for bike nights and events, is Florida's Full Throttle magazine. They are also on line. http://floridafullthrottle.com/Cruis...#pinellashills
Have fun,

Friday nights , go check out Mustang Sally's in Holiday (just north of clearwater/tarpon springs) Old school types biker night , and the owners are cool in thier own right.
If your going riding ,north of Tampa is the best. Brooksville and surrounding areas.
If your staying in town. Concerts ,Busch gardens etc. Contact the chamber of commerce.
Head north up highway 19 to Cedar Key. It would be a great day trip with lots of good riding. BTW - If you like NE Clam Chowder, there is a place on Cedar Key that has the best chowder in the world. I know this because it says so on the side of the building! - Also ate there and it was very good!
Have fun!

Yep St.Pete beach area is quite nice, lots of traffic on I-75 and I-275 so be careful, I'd recommend checking out Ft.DeSoto State park right on the tip of St. Pete, the last exit off I-275S before you hit the Skyway bridge.
