The only bad part would be if they claim to be slashing prices, and they really are not. That would be an immediate loss of trust. Get the message out, maybe in questionable taste, but you'd better deliver or you'll find noone that believes you again. Slashing prices means selling at just above cost, waiving set-up charges, and hoping you make it up in service and parts.
Would you go to this dealer after seeing this commercial or would you go elsewhere? It seems they are trying any gimmick they can to get sales. Would a commercial like this entice you to spend money at this dealership?
Apparently the commercial started running this past Sunday.
If I were shopping for a new bike, that commercial would have no relevance. If the dealership is in the area, I would go there to look anyway. I would agree though, cheesy commercial. Not the approach I would take.
It's a parody of the ol' car salesman comms.
And IT worked, we're all commenting on it.
In fact, it worked so good, someone decided to post it on an HD forum website, and expose it even more.
I'd say it's a go, even tho a bit 'cheesy' by most standards, nowadays.
I don't know, I think that I could give two craps about how they want customers to view their dealership. Bottom line is that I wouldn't give my best friend the money if I didn't like the price or product I was buying. I could easily give it to someone I see as a total idiot jackhole so long as I am happy with what I am going home with and the price I paid for it.
